The 2014/2015 First Capital Plus Premier League will start on January 18, just a day after the start of the 30th edition of the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Pundits have argued that, patronage at the various centers will be low due to the start of the two major competitions concurrently.
Although the Premier League Board fixtures for the league do not collide with the dates that the Black Stars will be playing their Group matches, President of the Ghana Football Association says, the upcoming AFCON will definitely have a negative effect on the league but his outfit is ready to face the challenges.
“We are behind schedule and we have to play it as it is, we are behind by almost three months and if we have the opportunity to play the league on a daily basis we will do that.
“Obviously it will have a negative effect on the league but we are ready to face them”
