AFCON 2017: Black Stars players to begin arriving on Sunday

Players of Ghana’s Black Stars will begin arriving for their 2017 AFCON qualifier against Mozambique slated for the 24th tomorrow.

With Majority of the players based in Europe and playing for their clubs on Saturday most of them are expected to catch a flight down to Ghana on Sunday.

Leicester City duo of Daniel Amartey and Jeffrey Schlupp who played a key role in his sides 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace are expected to team up with Chelsea left back Baba Rahman and Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew on the same flight.

France based Abdul Majeed Waris, Jonathan Mensah who is based in Russia and Turkey based John Boye will all be in action tonight and are expected in Ghana on Sunday night.

Skipper Asamoah Gyan who plays in China is also expected to depart today and is expected in the country on Sunday night.

Returning goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey and defender Harrison Afful are expected in on Monday.
