Cameroon’s Ghanaian assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed confident about Ghana’s chances of progressing from Group C in the 2015 AFCON.
The Black Stars have been drawn against old foes Senegal, South Africa and Algeria in Group C for next January’s showdown.
The Black Stars have played against all three countries in the previous AFCON tournaments.
But Tanko, who is a former Ghana international believes the Black Stars have the men to qualify from the group.
“A new coach has come with a lot of expectations but there’s a Maxwell Konadu who has been around for a while now. Also Ghana still have a lot of good players to qualify through,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.
Ghana finished fourth in the last AFCON tournament that was held in South Africa.
