Aduana Stars youngster Sampson Boampong Wirekoh says his target this season is to earn a call-up to be part of Ghana U20 team, the Black Satellites, after his explosive start to the Ghana Premier League season.
The 16-year-old nicknamed ‘Dormaa Messi’ joined Aduana from Mighty Professionals based in Dunkwa-on-Offin, and has played eight times out of the eleven games in the top-flight this season.
“I’m pleased with my performance because I’ve been doing very well in my debut season in the premier league. I’m eying a call-up from coach Didi Dramani to the Ghana U20 team and wouldn’t hesitate if I’m called up for the upcoming qualifiers,” Wirekoh told Goal.
“I’m young and energetic, and it is every player’s dream to start representing his nation from the youth level before reaching the top. This gives you experience since you’ll be exposed to several opportunities and obstacles both locally and on international stages.
“I want to be a household name in Ghana when I turn 20 years so I take my training seriously and adhere to every advice.”
