Aduana’s operations manager: The referee engineered Lions win

Georger Gyau, the Operations Manager of the Dormaa based side, has blamed his side’s 0-1 defeat on poor officiating from referee Mohammed.

Heart of lions scored a lone goal against Aduana Stars through a penalty kick on match day 28 of the First Capital Plus Premier League on Sunday at the Kpando Park to put their title ambition in doubt.

The Operations Manager of the away team, who wasn’t pleased with officiating has voiced out his frustration.

“The referee put the results in his own pocket. We had a clear penalty in the first half, but the he refused to award us, but rather awarded a dubious penalty to Lions.

“Despite all these frustrations, we managed to earn the equalizer, but the referee surprising disallowed it and as of now we don’t know the reason why the referee denied us that equalizer,” he told Metro fm.

He added accusing Randy Abbey of organizing a thug to attack him.

“During half time, I approached the referee to complain about officiating and also told Randy Abbey to help ensure fairness in the game. He told me I have no cause to complain, because they also had one or two decisions going against them.

“In the course of the deliberations got angry and insulted me and when the game came to a close a macho man I saw him with Randy Abbey by name ‘Cyborg’ prevented me from entering the dressing room. He held my shirt and almost attacked if not the intervention of the security men,” he added.

Aduana Stars are trailing Ashgold by 4 points in the race for the champions of the 2014-15 Ghana Premier league.
