Following a number of high profile arrivals at Barcelona this summer, defender Adriano has left to join Turkish side Besiktas in a 600,000-euro deal.
While it has been a disappointing end to his career at the Camp Nou, the Brazilian has certainly played his part since arriving from Sevilla in 2010, making over 100 La Liga appearances for the Blaugrana.
Only 31, Adriano had been linked with a number of clubs, but moves to Turkey for a nominal fee that would rise by 900,000 euros if Besiktas qualify for the Champions League.
Having announced the news, Barcelona wished the player luck in his new venture, after seeing his playing time decrease in the last two years.
Excitement is now building in Catalonia for next season, with a new look side including Lucas Digne, Samuel Umtiti, Denis Suarez and Andre Gomes looking to win a third successive La Liga title as well as challenge for the Champions League once again.
