Techiman City coach Yusif Abubakar has lauded his players after their 2-2 draw with Edubiase United in the Ghana Premier League last weekend.
Goals from Iddrisu Mohammed and Stephen Manu helped Techiman pick their first point in away fixture after three attempts. They lost 4-2 on matchday two against Hasaacas and 1-0 on matchday four to Liberty Professionals prior to the game.
“We have gotten one point against Edubiase United but it wasn’t easy. Since it was our first away draw in the league,” Abubakar said.
“I have to congratulate the players for fighting very hard and I’m happy that they adhered to what I asked them to do on the field.
“Tactically, the players did a wonderful job and were fantastic but there are few things I have to correct in the next games. We still have to look at certain areas and make sure that we can correct them before the subsequent games,” he added.
Techiman are now sixth on the log with 10 points, four behind leaders Wa All Stars, and will host Hearts of Oak next weekend at Ameyaw Park.
