Abeiku Ainooson has signed a one year loan deal with Al Hilal of Sudan, after completing his medical on Tuesday.
He becomes the 2nd Ghanaian to join the Sudanese club, Al Hilal, after Kennedy Ashia concluded his move last week.
Asante Kotoko in a statement on the club’s website confirmed the move, “When the 2015/16 season gets under away, defender Abeiku Ainooson will not be part of Kotoko’s team as he has been loaned to Sudanese side, Al Hilal for ten months.
“The player’s contractual agreement was completed earlier this week,” the statement reads.
It was reported last week that, the strong centre back was being chased by clubs outside the country. Management confirmed that report but declined to specifically disclose which clubs were after the player’s signature.
Abeiku Ainooson joined Asante Kotoko two seasons agao from New Edubiase and won the defender of the season for both the league and FA Cup and crowned it with the FA Cup Most Valuable Player of the season, all in his debut season for the Porcupne warriors.
